Responsibilities include:

• Devising and implementing financial communications strategies and programmes

• Developing messaging strategy and materials for financial communications collaterals (key messages, presentations, scripts, press releases, Q&A etc.)

• Advising on best practice for PR and IR, providing senior level strategic counsel and support with relevant market and industry context

• News monitoring and press analysis

• Forging productive relationships with clients, press and investment analysts

• Media relations – developing strategies, pitching stories and responding to in-coming call

• Buy and sell-side perception studies

• Developing and shaping content; presenting at pitches

• Research for current clients and new business opportunities

• Role in daily management of team (organisation and direction; training, coaching and assessment)

Skills and Experience Required:

• Good understanding of how the City and the broader financial community operates including experience of M&A/ IPO transactions and Financial Calendar work

• Industry including bankers, analysts and journalists

• Knowledge of the consumer or leisure sectors preferred

• Proven experience in handling and running client relationships

• Financially literate, experienced in working with financial information

• Advocacy – able to engage, influence and persuade verbally and in written materials

• Diplomacy – expert in reading people and situations; professional in navigating challenging situations
