Each quarter, we’ll welcome you to a relaxed, focused session.  A guest speaker will be on hand with hints, tips, and a special offer or two; there will be space for mingling, as well – the perfect chance to share your news and challenges with other Office Managers, who understand them best.   Invaluable!

This OMQ, we will be joined by Rosemary Howman, owner of Mayfair Quarters, a leading procurement enterprise, working with SMEs to give them access to exclusive corporate rates normally reserved for large firms.  She will share a little about their partnerships, including but not limited to deals on high-end office provisions, venues, travel and branded gifts…  And she will be joined by her ‘Chief Chocolate Supplier’ – yes, there will be samples!

The first part of the workshop looked at:

  • Preparing for self-certification
  • Implementing the senior managers regime
  • Rules on reporting misconduct
  • Regulatory references
  • Whistleblowing


The second part of the workshop was a case-study session that gave the opportunity to discuss practical issues that arise when investigating employee misconduct in an FCA regulated business, for example:

  • Dealing with whistleblowing during the investigation
  • Suspension
  • Using and maintaining legal privilege
  • Impact on remuneration
  • Giving regulatory references in various disciplinary contexts
