This established and renowned firm is one of the Financial PR industries biggest success stories; this team of communications experts that have managed some of the most complex communications challenges, financial issues and corporate crises of the last three decades. These include high-profile mergers and acquisitions, executive changes and restructurings as well as long- term corporate reputation efforts. The firm provides expert counsel and support to clients around the world on interactions with the media, financial markets, employees, governments, and other vital stakeholders.

This dynamic business is looking for an experienced IR practitioner to work with the Head of IR at the firm and a wider team to advise UK and international clients on their communications with the investment community.

Unlike many other PR firms, the team is formed of individuals from many different backgrounds, so it is an excellent learning environment where you can work alongside individuals who have pursued careers in banking, politics, journalism and law to name a few. There will be plenty of potential for career development through involvement in a wide variety of projects and ongoing client work.

Responsibilities include:

  • Advising senior clients including chairmen, CEOs and IR officers on investor issues affecting their companies
  • Drafting and advising on presentations to the investment community
  • Interpreting and building financial models and using data to analyse companies and the market environment
  • Advising on the impact of company announcements and likely investment community reaction
  • Leading and developing a junior team
  • Researching new business opportunities
  • Developing and shaping content; presenting at pitches


Skills and Experience Required:

  • A background as an in-house IR or within investment banking /stockbroking
  • Bachelor’s level degree, MBA or equivalent
  • Demonstrable interest and understanding of business environment and current affairs, including awareness of the developments in and opportunities around digital and social media
  • Able to build strong relationships; commands the confidence of others internally & externally
  • Hard working, flexible, adaptable and proactive
  • Organised, efficient, takes ownership, trusted to deliver to deadline
  • Continually seeks to broaden knowledge and contact base through networking; shares expertise
