Senior Account Director – Reputation and Issues Management for High Profile Individuals and Businesses - London - West End

You will be already operating at Account Director level, providing strategic input and overseeing delivery. Speedy progression to Associate Director is feasible for the right individual. 


With 17 years’ experience offering high level strategic communications advisory to a blend of high profile individuals and businesses, this respected and highly experienced team is looking to expand due to an increased number of retained clients and projects.


Much of the client base is international, so an interest in travel and working in different cultural settings is a must. Additional languages are a significant advantage.

Responsibilities include:

  • To create strategy and manage day to day client issues and activity, establishing relationships and acting as the main point of contact, responding to queries and requests without reference to a higher authority when necessary
  • To advise on and implement media and other stakeholder communications as required
  • To carry out projects as required without always having imput from Directors 
  • To generate high quality and concise written and oral reports and insight based on research, analysis and intelligence gathering activity, ensuring that the client’s attention is drawn to both positive and adverse issues in a timely and effective manner
  • To attend client meetings with directors and to present to clients’ when required, making recommendations and implementing activity when agreed
  • To contribute to new client proposals
  • To continually look for opportunities to develop own and the company’s business, political and media networks and building relationships
  • To supervise the work of consultants working on the account, monitoring workflow, overseeing work and addressing issues when required
  • To act as an ambassador for the business at all times, always sensitive to business opportunities


Skills and Experience Required

  • Previous experience in corporate communications and/or a reputation management agency is a must
  • Exposure to working with high profile individuals essential
  • Previous experience in a consultancy or client servicing environment is important
  • Strong analytical ability, a liking for complex issues, ability to see patterns and links between events that are not necessarily obvious to others and respond effectively to them
  • Ability maintain a calm, objective and logical approach when dealing with challenging situations
  • International exposure. Proven ability to work in different cultural settings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent advisory abilities
