If you relish the challenge presented by complex situations and can be the voice of calm in sensitive time pressured environment, you could be the addition that this talented team are seeking. You will be already operating at Associate Director level or equivalent in a communications role and be comfortable providing strategic input, as well as overseeing delivery.

The role sits within the international team, inside a business with two decades of experience in high level strategic communications advisory. Clients are a blend of high profile individuals, businesses and governments. This role has a particular focus on international clients, so the ability to travel frequently and work in different cultural settings is a must. Additional languages are a significant advantage.

Responsibilities include:

• To identify business development opportunities and new client relationships, working to develop contacts and expertise in areas which are complimentary to the wider Division's strategies.

• To establish long term relationships with clients and networks, obtaining retained advisor status wherever possible.

• To establish long term relationships with political leaders, heads of mission and other relevant international networks to enhance the firm's client base and profile as a leader in the reputation management field.

• To project manage and be accountable for international practice accounts and to target business sector activities.

• To contribute to the success of the business as a member of the senior management team. On occasion leading specialist project groups dealing with key strategic issues that the company wishes to address. Carrying out research, analysing data, presenting findings and making recommendations to the board.

• To attend a variety of networking functions and events that are identified as providing opportunities to meet potential clients for the business.

Skills and Experience Required

• Previous experience in corporate communications and/or a reputation management role is a must

• Exposure to working with high profile individuals and governments essential

• Previous experience in a consultancy or client servicing environment is important

• Strong analytical ability, able to understand complex business concepts and identify key issues

• Understanding of how his/her function contributes to the overall business strategy

• Ability to look for opportunities to upgrade both depth and breadth of business knowledge and share this with others

• Ability maintain a calm, objective and logical approach when dealing with challenging situations

• International exposure. Proven ability to work in different cultural settings

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent advisory abilities
