Reporting to the Global Head of Communications, this position, is a broad, newly created operational focussed role encompassing both communications and marketing. This is a position where internal and external relationship building are of equal importance; there will be interface on a daily basis with media, management and investment professionals in the region.

The role will have operational responsibility for the execution of communication tactics according to the firm’s communication strategy locally. This is definitely a hands on position for a self-starter, who likes to work as an internal agency with external support if needed. The ideal candidate will have experience of working agency side and understand the challenges of a client servicing and multi-faceted role.

The Firm
The firm is a successful Private Equity business that has a strong track record of investing both in The Nordic Region and other parts of Europe; to date they have completed more than 50 investments and supported more than 100 acquisitions.

Main responsibilities include:

- Execution of the firm’s media tactics across all Nordic media, including print, broadcast and digital (including sponsorship and special projects)
- Enhancement of the firm’s communications and marketing standards in the Nordics
- Research, copy-writing and production of the firm’s publications in the Nordics in (including the firm’s format, digital channels, external articles and internal presentations as well as case studies)
- Maintaining the website (Nordics), including keeping content up to date and if appropriate, making improvements to functionality executing and maintaining the social media strategy to raise the firm’s profile in the region
- Brand policing and monitoring of CD/CI and key messages
- Support the Head of Communications in monitoring and forecasting an accurate Communications Budget Nordics
- Proactive and team oriented collaboration with other Communications team’s members to ensure that all marketing and communications actions are joined up and complementary
- Coordination of Nordic PR agencies
- Special projects as required

Experience required:

- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Significant experience working in the field of Communications and Marketing gained either at an agency or within a professional or financial services firm
- Fluency in Swedish and English essential
- Track record of operational execution (i.e. creation and production) of a broad range of communications activities – executing media tactics, websites design and maintenance, digital, media and marketing strategies and production of collaterals, like press releases, digital posts, flyer, brochures, as well as presentations, other publications, etc.
- Experience in working with a wide range of businesses from different sectors with varying communications requirements. Experience working with privately owned companies preferable
- An existing network within the business, industry, political and governmental spheres of journalism and other media (including social media) in the Nordics preferable
- Proven and demonstrable experience of editing and creation of publications
- Experience in producing content for the web, etc.
- Proven experience working with social media platforms
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated track record of proactive teamwork
- Excellent interpersonal skills tested in a cross cultural environment, including the ability to influence across an organisation and externally
- Excellent writing skills
- Advanced languages capabilities
- Ability to distil complex ideas quickly
- Straightforward and concise communication style
- Able to work productively in a high-pressure environment and effectively prioritise a large workload
- Willingness to travel frequently and at short notice
