This is an opportunity for an experienced receptionist to join a leading hedge fund located in the West End. Our client operates within a high-performing and agile team and needs someone to represent their firm and manage the front of house and broader office. Key Details:
- £45 - £60k plus bonus
- Hybrid reception and office manager role with exposure to projects
- Official hours: 8am – 6pm, Monday – Friday
- Work alongside passionate, highly driven and motivated individuals
Role Overview:
This role will see you support a medium-sized hedge fund and is best suited to someone who has worked in the alternative investment sector, or banking and finance. You must be a natural problem-solver who can manage conflicting priorities seamlessly and professionally, whilst also delivering a high, and personal level of service to guests and internal and external stakeholders. Working in a busy and demanding team, you will be genuinely proactive and exhibit professional maturity, a high EQ and an unwavering can-do attitude.
Responsibilities:
Reception:
- Meet & greet the guest as they arrive at the office.
- Extensive calendar management for the meeting rooms.
- Maintenance of the meeting rooms.
- Maintenance of meeting room VC tech and telephony.
- Consulting with building reception for guests, deliveries etc.
- Arrange and organize post.
- Perform any other duties within your skills and abilities as reasonably instructed.
Office Management:
- Extensive diary management for the team (often changing at last minute).
- Organizing travel and accommodation with itineraries etc.
- Ordering office supplies, food, stationery.
- Managing and maintaining office budget.
- Invoicing reconciliations.
- Attending Committee meetings and taking minutes.
- Updating Office Policies
Candidate Requirements:
- Someone who has a minimum of 5+ years experience as a receptionist or office manager in a hedge fund or private equity firm, or at minimum a highly demanding or fast-paced environment.
- An expert multi-tasker who is proactive and demonstrates superb office etiquette.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, with the ability to liaise with all levels with confidence and the utmost level of confidentiality.
- Someone who maintains a high standard of personal output, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
- Someone who is efficiency-focused, who is a keen learner and listener and willing to take on projects and varying tasks when needed.
- Ability to work in office 5 days per week from 8am – 6pm with flexibility provided on a need’s basis.
This is an opportunity for a career receptionist to take on a hybrid reception/office management role within a close-knit team, or for an experienced office manager to return to a front-of-house based role.
